CHENNAI
Chennai, ' Gateway to the South' , is the first city of South India, capital of Tamil Nadu.
It is also one of India 's four Metropolises. Temples and forts , churches and beaches , mosques , parks and monuments are all the part of mosaic of Chennai
How to Get there :.
Chennai is well connected by rail and road to all the major cities in the country. station code is (MAS). It also has an International airport and is connected by direct flights from many parts of the world. 
Places of Interest:
VGP Studio - Its a  life me ek baar experience in that studio. Its an enormous fun to see the shooting of the South Indian Film. There we met the famous South Indian star DHANUSH . In short its a whole lot of fun.


ARIGNAR ANNA ZOOLOGICAL PARK        - Is the largest Zoo in India (in area). Its total area is about 602 Hectares . It is 31 km from Chennai. U can imagine how big it is. One cannot walk round the zoo so here zoo officials provide cycle to the visitors. Isn't it amazing. If u r a wild lovers then this is the only place for u guys. Large no of animals and also of different varieties.


MADRAS MOTOR RACE TRACK - Is the first f1 race track in India. MMSC Official website Madras Motor Sports Club with its history of over 50 years is the reason that Chennai can be called the epicenter of  of motor racing in India.                                                                                                                                                                     For a racing enthusiast, there is nothing to beat the smell of burnt rubber and the sound of screaming engines...and what better place than the Madras Motor Race Track at Irungattukottai to catch the racing excitement.   Do you know that you can drive your car or bike around the track at a small fee and the track can be hired for corporate days, vehicle/component testing, even competition events. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.  Mr Hari Singh is the main official here.

Trip to Darjeeling



Day : 1

  • Took a train from Sealdah to NJP at 10.05pm(Darjeeling Mail)







Day : 2

  • Reached NJP at 9.00am.
  • Left for Darjeeling at 11.30am (Rs.140/head in share and Rs.1500-2000 for hire ).
  • Reached at 3.45pm.
  • Checked into the hotel (somewhere around mall road), Freshened up and went outside to chill ourselves.
  • For veg food HASTY TASTY is the best option.
  • Beside it there is a Bakery , where one can try different varieties of Chocolates , pastries and other bakery items.
  • Had our dinner ASAP because everything was closed by 8.30pm.

Day : 3


  • Woke up at 4.00am and left for tiger hill at 4.45am. Reached tiger hill at 5.15am . The sun rose at 6.15am . Watched the beautiful scenery and left tiger hill at 6.30am.
  • Visited war memorial at 7.15am.
  • From there we went to Ghoom Monastery (its on the way)
  • Back to the hotel room at 8.30am.
  • At 10.00am visited Japanese temple and Peace Pagoda. From there reached the zoo at 11.20am. Stayed there till 12.45pm. Inside the Zoo We had great fun.
  • It was great fun climbing the rock. The experience was fantastic.
  • From there we went to see a  tea garden and spent about half an hour to have a clear picture of the tea garden. The we return back to hotel it was nearly 2.00pm  
  • Then we take rest for 3 hrs and then around 5.30 pm we left for Rock Garden. Its a beautiful place to be at.
  • Then again we back to our hotel room after taking dinner at the same restaurant as stated above.


    Places to visit
    1st trip- Rs. 100 per head  
    1) Tiger hill  :




    Tiger Hill is a beautiful place from where sunrise can be seen. From here Kanchenjunga (a full snow covered mountain) is also visible , a fully white coloured peak. But the most imp feature is that as the sky changes it’s colour , the peak also viewed differently.

    2) Batasia Loop (war memorial)
    Entry fees:Rs 5 per head
    Batase means the windy place. This is natural spur of the Tiger Hill mountain around which the narrow gauge rail makes double loop its way between Ghoom rand's Darjeeling towns. This is in itself an Engineering Marvel.


        The sanctified War Memorial consist of the raised marble platform in oval shape 37ft * 24ft . With a 9ft high bronze statute of a Gorkha soldier in 'shok shastra ' and a 30ft high triangular Granite cenotaph on a 3 ft octagonal base with the " roll of  honour " engraved on it.

    3) Ghoom Monastery

    This is a very nice place to visit. One can have a clear picture of Buddhism. Its very refreshing.
    Many small children also stay there. They studied as well as do work in these type of monastery's.

    1) Japanese Temple

    We left our hotel at 9.30am and reached the temple around 10am
